The first-ever 12 team College Football playoff is upon us! However, before postseason play can began this week, the CFRA must publish its end of regular season top 25 poll. This poll has a similar 12 team playoff field as the CFP Rankings, but with one critical difference in that Alabama would get the last at-large spot over SMU based on these rankings. We also had one interesting tie in this poll, as in-state rivals South Carolina and Clemson share the # 14 spot despite the Gamecocks win in Death Valley during rivalry week.
Without further ado, here is this year’s CFRA End of Regular Season Poll. The 12 teams that the CFRA would have selected to make up this year’s College Football Playoff field based on these rankings are denoted by an asterik next to their name. In addition, the four conference champions that would get byes to the quarterfinals in that playoff based on this poll are represented by two asteriks next to their name. First-place votes are in parentheses next to each team.
