Week 9 College Football Researchers Association (CFRA) Poll

Alabama and Oregon have now occupied the top two spots in the CFRA poll for the past 6 weeks!  Nevertheless, the Wildcats of Kansas State are right on the Ducks’ heels, as they trail Oregon by a single point this week’s poll.  There is also one tie and one major break of 30 or more points in this week’s rankings.  The ties occur at # 6 (Florida State and Georgia), and the major break occurs at # 4 (between Notre Dame and LSU).

Week 8 College Football Researchers Association (CFRA) Poll

For the fifth-straight week, Alabama and Oregon occupy the top two spots in the CFRA poll.  There are changes throughout the rest of the top 5 though, as Florida jumps from # 5 to 3 as a result of their blowout victory over South Carolina.  Speaking of the Gamecocks, they are apart of this week’s only CFRA tie, as Texas Tech and SC share the # 17 spot in the week 8 rankings.

Week 7 College Football Researchers Association (CFRA) Poll

With the release of the first edition of the BCS standings, there is now another major poll which we can use to compare the CFRA results to.  Please scroll down to the bottom of this entry for that analysis.  As far as ties and major breakings points go, there are two ties this week and one major break of 30 or more points.  The ties occur at # 12 (Florida State and Missississpi State) and # 21 (Ohio and Boise State), and the major break occurs at # 5 (between SEC counterparts: Florida and LSU).  Interestingly enough, this is the second-straight week Boise has been locked in a tie with a fellow non-BCS powerhouse (last week: Louisiana Tech).
