2012 College Football Researchers Association (CFRA) Preseason Poll

College football is back, and so is the College Football Researchers Association top 25 poll!  We are now entering the fourth year of the new CFRA poll, and as many as 44 different teams received votes in this year’s preseason poll.  These rankings very closely resemble the AP Preseason poll, which has the exact same top 6 teams in the country.

2.  Alabama (4)- 334 points

3.  LSU (3)- 323 points

4.  Oklahoma- 301 points

5.  Oregon– 298 points

6.  Georgia– 248 points

7.  Arkansas– 239 points

8.  Florida State– 236 points

9.  South Carolina– 225 points

10.  Michigan– 219 points

11.  Wisconsin– 203 points

12.  West Virginia– 191 points

13.  Michigan State– 157 points

14.  Clemson– 138 points

15.  Texas– 132 points

16.  Virginia Tech– 128 points

17.  TCU– 123 points

18.  Nebraska– 116 points

19.  Oklahoma State– 97 points

Teams Ranked Lower in CFRA than AP and Coaches Polls: Florida State (8), Michigan (10), West Virginia (12), Nebraska (18), Kansas State (24), Notre Dame (NR).

Teams Ranked Exactly the Same in All 3 Major Human Polls (AP, CFRA, and Coaches): Alabama (2), Oklahoma (4), Oregon (5), Georgia (6), South Carolina (9), Michigan State (13), Clemson (14), Texas (15), Oklahoma State (19), Florida (23).
