2023 College Football Researchers Association (CFRA) Midseason Poll

Now that we are halfway through the college football regular season, it is time to release the CFRA Midseason Poll. One interesting facet of the poll is that this is the second consecutive year the 7th ranked team in the CFRA preseason poll has dropped all the way out of the midseason top 25. Last year, Oklahoma was the unlucky # 7 and this year that team is Clemson. Iowa is also an interesting case study in that they were a CFRA preseason top 25 team that has a 6-1 overall record and a commanding lead in the Big Ten West standings, but they have likewise dropped out of the CFRA top 25 in these midseason rankings. Without further ado, here is this year’s midseason poll.
